Remember that all things have specific norms that many people usually follow. In Roulette, there are courtesy too. You should remember to gently put the chips on the board rather than tossing them on the table. For one thing, tossing them on the table could displace the other bets on the table. Another thing is that, it would really offend others if you just toss the chips on the betting table.

If you have trouble putting the bet chips on the table then you can just announce the bet to the dealer so he could take note of it. That is called “Call Bet”. If you wanted to change your chips to cash or change the color of your chips, you should do it between spins. Nobody is allowed to touch the chips on the betting table once the wheel starts spinning.

Don’t argue with the dealer if he or she does not accept your “Call Bet”. It is like arguing with the referee in a boxing arena and is considered very impolite. Food and drinks are not allowed as well on the table. You will be forced to pay a certain amount if you spill something on the table.
